Budd founded HIPP Design + Consulting in 2001. With more than 35 years of experience across a wide range of projects, he is the primary conduit for all client interactions. Budd’s experience includes laboratory and clean room upfits, packaging line expansions, and pharmaceutical process and utility system installations. He has been involved in multiple large pharmaceutical construction projects. Budd has supported clients with masterplanning, project scoping, phasing, scheduling, and cost estimating. His 35+ years of project delivery and design experience has been vital to HIPP's success.

Budd has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University. He is an active member of the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE), the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) and the North Carolina Healthcare Engineers Association (NCHEA).
