Alex Stone, PE
Alex joined the mechanical engineering group at HIPP in 2018 following his time as a nuclear design engineer at the Harris Nuclear Plant. While in the mechanical group, Alex leveraged the quality focus and attention to detail critical for nuclear safety to better serve HIPP clients, where cGMP compliant engineering is a key component in manufacturing safe, effective, and pure pharmaceuticals and other FDA-regulated products. Alex worked in mechanical design, mechanical engineering, and project engineering throughout his early tenure at HIPP, eventually becoming an Engineering Lead and executing projects as Engineering of Record for mechanical, piping, plumbing, and fire protection. His technical expertise coupled with a passion for client relations and multi-discipline coordination created a natural bridge into his current role as Project Lead at HIPP, where he is primarily responsible for managing project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure alignment with client objectives.
Alex has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University. He holds Professional Engineering licenses in North Carolina and Virginia, and he sits on the Young Alumni Advisory Board for the College of Engineering at NC State.
