Manufacturing Facility Upgrades

Our client is a leading biopharmaceutical company using disruptive plant-based and virus-like particle (VLP) technologies to rapidly develop vaccines intended to expand its production capacity through a series of upgrades to the facility.

Supporting the client since 2011, our team performed numerous process and facility upgrades across the entire RTP campus, a 97,600 square foot cGMP Vaccine Research/Production and

Greenhouse Facility. The facility, designed to research and produce plant-based commercial-grade vaccines, includes a 27,000 square foot fully automated greenhouse and headhouse, as well as extensive laboratory, production, and office space.

HIPP’s design for expansion included increasing greenhouse density and expansion of plant expression and processing operations. These upgrade efforts included but are not limited to the following:
