Client 1 - OSD Manufacturing Upfit
Our client wanted to convert existing empty building space into a granulation suite housing fluid bed dryers, granulators, blenders, coaters, and lifts. HIPP was asked to fit out space and facilitate the installation of previously selected/purchased equipment. HIPP partnered with civil, structural, architectural, electrical, and instrumentation and controls engineering firms to complete the multi-disciplinary design. HIPP oversaw both the detailed design and construction administration phases of this project.
Client 2 - OSD Pilot Plant
The client requested a HIPP provide a campus master plan and conceptual design for a new 340,000 square foot multi-purpose oral solid dosage manufacturing facility. As conceived, this facility would provide spaces for commercial production, pilot-scale manufacturing, laboratories, packaging, and finished goods warehouse. The process systems were composed of fluid bed dryers, tablet compression, coating, encapsulation, blending, and granulation. HIPP’s effort for the 100 million dollar facility also included utility capacity analysis, central utility plant concept, and extensive site development.
Client 3 - OSD Pilot Plant
At the request of our client, HIPP developed pilot plant operations by renovating an acquired facility in RTP, NC. The 13,500 square foot facility was up-fitted with four production trains for clinical trial manufacturing and process development. The four trainers included the capability to produce OSD, semi-solid creams, aerosols, and oral liquid products. The new cGMP manufacturing suites were designed for Class 1 Division 1 compliance and supported by warehousing, weighing/dispensing, and sampling spaces.
