The client tasked HIPP with designing a movable hoist system to support the multi-pack and case packer units within the Augusta facility without having to remove or relocate any existing piping, conduits or control panels. They also wanted as part of the design a fixed walkway with any applicable handrails and safety system required by local and state
AHU Replacement - Mt Olive, NC
HIPP was tasked with replacing the existing Air Handling Units supplying the mixing area with new units as the current units had reached their effective end of life. These units, seven (7) and eight (8) which were located on the roof not only required replacement, they also required additional low wall filtered returns due to the flour dust that escapes during the mixing process.
Additionally, our client tasked HIPP to do a dust hazard survey to collect data to feed into a cost benefit analysis as they planned to add several dough troughs. This large extra heat load caused new factors to be introduced with Air Handling Units replacement. We were then tasked to provide our client with a cost benefit, construction cost estimate, basis of design, and then gave our client the choice to either add one larger AHU or two smaller AHUs to best fit their needs.
